Lee (Petty) got a dyno put in there back in 1957 when he went with Oldsmobile. It was right there next to the original reaper shed building. Always wondered if getting his own dyno right there was part of the deal for PE being an Oldsmobile "factory" backed team.

Wow, after nearly 40 years i finally found out here, how the NASCAR cars' fenders & quarters seemed to "magically" be wide enough to accommodate the huge slicks WITHOUT big fender flares etc. Retains the body lines too. That's craftsmanship.
